I love the web and some tools of choice for me are GIMP, Inkscape, QGIS, Sublime Text, PostgreSQL, Python, CSS, HTML, Javascript, PHP and MySQL. I specializes in data visualization and databases.
I have spent the past 12 years working in an IT environment. Having designed websites for local businesses before WordPress was even conceived and spending a summer as Webmaster for a small ISP in the West Kootenays maintaining their server, creating accounts for clients and developing websites. Shortly after I found himself working for the British Columbia Public Service as a Spatial Information Analyst for the next 10 years of my career. Now I have launched my own business, Twig Technologies, to help other entrepreneurs harness the web and technology to streamline their business processes.
When not sitting in front of computer monitors coding or meeting with clients I love spending time with my daughter, being outside doing anything that makes me uncomfortable, playing music and making wine.
